CIS and Micro Focus held an event at Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace Hotel on the 25th and 26th of April, 2018 to address the toughest problems in today’s Hybrid IT world. The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Antoine Kareh, General Manager of CIS Group, and Mr. Anas Jwaeid, the Managing Director of Micro Focus in the Middle East and Africa.
On the first day there was a brief introduction to the new Micro Focus, then Mr. Marc Boitel, the Business Development Manager at NetIQ, Micro Focus gave a lecture on the 5 Building Blocks for a Valid Identity-Driven Security Framework. Mr. Boitel discussed synchronization, authentication, privileged access, identity management and certification control.
After the coffee break, the topic of Information Governance and Data Protection was presented by the Micro Focus experts Mr. Hosam Al Majdoob and Mr. Mazin Bayado, who mentioned developing a technical guidance intended for Data Protection Officers (DPO), research managers, or information governance/security architecture leads.
Afterwards, Mr. Christian Schuetz, the Business Development Manager at Micro Focus, displayed how organizations can master the Mobility Application Lifecycle through Application Delivery Management, which brings together a large set of tools and services under one banner. This in turn will help organizations ensure quality, plan, prepare for change, manage complexity, and prioritize investment in line with real business needs.
The final presentation of the day was given by the Director of Software Support at Micro Focus, Mr. Samer Zein, who displayed the support and services Micro Focus could provide.
On the second day, one on one roundtable meetings were held between customers and experts.
